National Economy and Finance Minister Kostis Hatzidakis is travelling to Brussels on Wednesday, in order to participate in the Eurogroup and ECOFIN meetings.
The Eurogroup meeting will take place on Wednesday. Its agenda includes a discussion on macroeconomic developments in the eurozone, with an emphasis on inflation, the prospects and challenges for the international competitiveness of the European economy, the Banking Union and the future of European capital markets.
On Thursday, the ECOFIN meeting will be held, where the main topic of discussion will be the reform of economic governance rules. The agenda also includes discussion on the economic impact of the war in Ukraine, the future course of the European Semester and the Annual Report of the European Fiscal Council for 2023.
On the sidelines of the meetings, Hatzidakis will have meetings with European officials.
